Tuve que nacer en Madrid ya que Manhattan estaba cortado por una invasión extraterrestre. Puede que este cambio de planes hiciera de mí un niño introvertido que, en vez de correr detrás de un balón con los otros niños, se pasaba las horas dibujando mundos imaginarios. Quizá fuera por esto, o quizá porque siempre fui un poco flojo para el ejercicio físico; pero, fuera por lo que fuera, continúe dibujando y descubriendo a autores como Kiraz, Ceesepe, Bob Kane, Disney, Eduardo García Benito, John Byrne y un sinfín más que lograron que no quisiera dejar de manchar papeles. Hoy ya no mancho papel, pero lleno la pantalla de mi ordenador de vectores y pixeles con la misma intensidad y con las mismas ganas. Y a es que a estas alturas.. ¡no me voy a ir a jugar al fútbol!


I had to be born in Madrid as Manhattan was under an alien invasion. Maybe, this change of plans made me an introverted child who, instead of running after a ball with other boys, spent endless hours drawing imaginary worlds. Maybe was that, or maybe it was because I was a little clumsy for that kind physical exercise. However, no matter what it was, I carried on drawing and discovering authors like Kiraz, Ceesepe, Bob Kane, Disney, Eduardo Garcia Benito, John Byrne and countless more, who managed to keep me smudging / scrawling. Nowadays, I don’t smudge anything but I fill my computer screen with vectors and pixels, with the same intensity and desire. And, at this point of my life...I'm not gonna start playing football”.
